WBC Taster Day Graphic 2022 A4It was a terrific 'Taster Day' at Wadebridge Bowling Club yesterday (Saturday 23rd April). The club opened its doors at 10am and the qualified coaches and their assistants were kept busy by a steady stream of people wanting to have a go at bowls. The bar was open, doing better business in the afternoon as the sun came out, and tea, coffee and biscuits were also available.

Altogether, 34 people signed in, including a few children who might well be back for the Junior Taster Day on 12th June. Nine men and women joined the club on the day, paying the introductory rate for new bowlers of just £12 for the year's subscription. They were given not only the Fixture Booklet, but also a Centenary book and coaster.

If you missed Taster Day you can still come to our weekly club nights, where we will have coaches and other experienced players available to give you an introduction to the sport. We're hoping some of those who took away membership forms will come along on a club night, too, and join up. (Click here for club night dates.)
