Our club encourages the next generation of bowlers primarily through its connection with St Breock Primary School, from which Year 5 has a weekly session at the green throughout the first half of the Summer term in preparation for the County Schools Summer Games.
After half-term, a weekly session continues on Thursdays after school, 4 - 5pm, which is open to all 8 - 18 year olds. These sessions are free of charge. Throughout the summer holidays coaching is available on Thursday mornings, 10.30 – 11.30am, again open to all young people for the small sum of £1 per session.
In addition, this year we are hosting a Junior tournament on behalf of the Aspire Academy schools on Friday 16th June 13:30 - 16:00.
We have junior bowls and other fun equipment for the children to use, probably the largest stock in Cornwall. Target bowls, anyone? The Jean Collop pavilion, named after a former member who left a generous legacy to develop junior bowls in the club, is available for the young people.
