Our club encourages the next generation of bowlers by holding regular Thursday sessions for young people. It's one of the reasons we were named Club of the Year 2024 and short-listed for Junior Development Programme of the Year 2025 at the Bowls England Awards. In addition to the long-standing arrangement with St Breock Primary School, this year we have introduced an additional session for Wadebridge School (secondary) following on immediately afterwards.

First half of the summer term: St Breock Primary School, Year 5, Tuesdays 2 - 3 pm. Wadebridge School 3-4 pm.

After half-term: tbc

Throughout the summer holidays: tbc

We have junior bowls and other fun equipment for the children to use, probably the largest stock in Cornwall. The Jean Collop pavilion, named after a former member who left a generous legacy to develop junior bowls in the club, is available for the young people.

Family Fridays, 6pm

This season we have also introduced Family Fridays, happening once a month on a Friday evening, 6pm. These are designed for the whole family: children, parents, grandparents – or even great-grandparents. Each session costs £5 per family. No need to book – just turn up. Please ensure that everyone has flat-soled shoes or trainers to go on the green.
