“I’m new and I’ll need a bit of coaching!”
Your best option would be to attend one of our Taster Days or Club Nights. Not only are they free, but you will also get a proper introduction to the game from our qualified coaches.
Club Nights are weekly on a Tuesday, arrive by 5.45pm, except for dates early and late in the season when it is 5.15pm. Please check our calendar below or the Club Nights page to be sure, and it would be best to notify our Secretary that you’d like to attend via this email address:
Our Taster Days this year are on Saturday 25th April, and Saturday 4th July, both from 10am until 3pm. Just turn up on the day! Please wear shoes with flat soles (basically, just no studs or heels).
If you feel ready to join, please take a look on our New Members page.
“I know what I’m doing - I’m just looking for a rink”
The green fees are £5 per person per session.
The green is open for play from 10am until dark, but there is quite a lot of club activity going on so it is best to check our on-line calendar to find out availability.
When you have found a convenient free time, click on ‘Book a Rink’ and enter your details. I’m afraid we do not have an all-singing, all dancing AI-enabled booking system. Your booking request goes to our Fixtures Secretary who will check it and confirm back to you, then enter it in the calendar.
Turn up at the green at the appointed time and someone will be on hand to open the equipment shed – and take your money, either cash or card/contactless. As experienced bowlers you will know to bring flat-soled shoes, so I won’t say anything about that.
When you have finished, the member who welcomed you will help you put equipment back in the shed and lock up.
Enjoy your game!
