Four wins, one draw and a loss made this another successful week in the leagues for Wadebridge.

Last week’s Club Night shifted to Friday, owing to a home B Team match on the usual Tuesday, so the club’s General Committee decided to take advantage of it to add in a stronger social element, with the bar serving yet more of Kevin’s Kocktails, and burgers cooked in the kitchen.

Having kicked off the season with a cold Opening Day and a wondrously sunny Taster Weekend, the Club got into action with some real matches.

A Sudden Thought

As a spur of the moment idea, our esteemed bar steward Kevin Jones has suggested we hold an ad-hoc roll up and beer this Saturday, 4th May (there always seems to be beer in Kevin’s ideas) with a little friendly competition.

Brilliant sunshine and an excellent offer drew best ever crowds to Wadebridge Bowling Club last Saturday and Sunday for Taster Weekend.

The season has started. Wadebridge Bowling Club held its Opening Day on 13th April and what do you know – there was sunshine!

Over the last couple of weeks, the bowing club has undergone some changes.

Suddenly, on 23rd March 2024, Bob, aged 84 years of Wadebridge, formerly St Mabyn. Reunited with his beloved wife Pauline, much loved partner of Jenny, loving dad of Robbie and Karen, dear grandad of Lisa and great grandad of Logan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral service St Mabyn Parish Church, Wednesday 10th April at 3.00 pm followed by interment. Dress code optional.
