Brilliant sunshine and an excellent offer drew best ever crowds to Wadebridge Bowling Club last Saturday and Sunday for Taster Weekend.

The season has started. Wadebridge Bowling Club held its Opening Day on 13th April and what do you know – there was sunshine!

Over the last couple of weeks, the bowing club has undergone some changes.

Suddenly, on 23rd March 2024, Bob, aged 84 years of Wadebridge, formerly St Mabyn. Reunited with his beloved wife Pauline, much loved partner of Jenny, loving dad of Robbie and Karen, dear grandad of Lisa and great grandad of Logan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral service St Mabyn Parish Church, Wednesday 10th April at 3.00 pm followed by interment. Dress code optional. Donations, if desired, for British Heart Foundation can be made online via the Memory Giving website, by retiring collection or sent c/o R. J. President David Atfield has chosen as his charity this year The Cove - Macmillan Information and Support Centre in Truro.

Around 60 people turned up for Wadebridge Bowling Club's third social of the year yesterday, 2nd March – a Race Night. [Text and photos]

Last Saturday (13th January) Wadebridge Bowling Club kicked off the new year with a Bingo night in the club house. To quote our secretary, Andrew:  

“Well, we seem to have started 2024 with a bang!

The ladies bowls team went to The Molesworth Arms on 6th December for a Christmas dinner/ get together. We had a lovely evening and as you can see from the photo we had lots of fun.
