The Ladies played two close matches in the Rippon league on Tuesday 21st – and won them both.
Wadebridge A v Kensey Vale A
Team - Penny Cartwright, Iris Richards, Lorraine Davies and Pat Archer
We travelled to Kensey Vale for our last but one match of the season, and what a match it was. Close all the way through with neither team getting too far ahead; from the 12th end there was never more than a shot in it.
On the last end we scored two for a 14-13 win.
We were thrilled. A really great team effort which paid off. A good game. Well done all
Wadebridge B v Bude
Team - Barbara Bell, Mae Bargate, Michelle Burgess & Jane Fernley
Currently 3rd in the league, we travelled to take on 2nd place Bude. On a tricky green, we had a strong start and managed to stay ahead for a 17-14 win. Well done team, only one match to go!
