The second week of competitive play began with…
the Men’s B Team’s first match of the season (after rain postponed the scheduled opening match against Dunheved) - sadly a 4.5 - 0.5 loss to Bodmin B. However, this was more than cancelled out by another win in the Tamar league for the Ladies, 23-11 over Liskeard, a 6.5 - 0.5 win in the ECBL against Kensey Vale and a 4-1 win over Bodmin for the A Team.
Next week is looking full, with a friendly against Truro on Sunday, followed by a Top Team match, two B Team matches, an ECBL and an A team for the Men, and a Rippon and a Tamar for the Ladies. Not to mention club night, which will again be on a Friday (17th). The Captains are having to work hard to find enough players, so this could be a good time for our newer members to shine.
