Congratulations to Peter Woodley and David Morrison in the National Pairs over the weekend.
They won through to Sunday’s play-offs at Wadebridge, then won two more matches, but ended up coming second in Group 2 to a strong Liskeard pair. Like the Ladies Triple last week, they go through to the Cornwall quarter finals, to be played on 4th July at St Austell.
On Friday, Wadebridge Over-60s Mixed Double Fours travelled to Newquay Trenance. On a bitterly cold evening, they lost by 3 shots, with everything decided on the last end. Keith Dodd’s rink were leading by two and holding shot, when the Newquay skip, Bill Goudge, took out the shot wood and dropped in to score three.
