Great excitement over the weekend as the Wadebridge Ladies triple of Avril Starling, Michelle Burgess and Jane Fernley (skip) won through Saturday’s games in the National Triples to reach the Group 2 playoffs on Sunday at Wadebridge.
Amidst great support from the local crowd, they won their semi-final, but after taking an early lead in the final against a Kensey Vale Triple they were pegged back, losing 17-12.
Well done Avril, Michelle and Jane - a great achievement! They now go on to the County quarter final to be held on Saturday 27 June at Bickford Smith, Camborne. Save the date and take a trip out to support them if you can.

The Group 2 runners-up trophy is the first silverware of the season for Wadebridge players. Let’s hope it is not the last.
The Men, meanwhile, had three triples all coincidentally drawn to play at Wadebridge on Saturday. Equally coincidentally, they all avoided each other in the first round and all managed to lose. So we won’t say any more about that.
