Over the last couple of weeks, the bowing club has undergone some changes.
The green surrounds have been tidied up (complementing the excellent maintenance of the green itself) and the men’s changing room has been redecorated in a colour close but not identical to the main room. Lots of people were involved, and thanks go to them all, but I would like to make a personal mention of our secretary, Andy Phillips, who undertook to sand down all the wooden seating from the changing room. Every time I went down to the club, there was Andy with his Bosch sander, ear protectors and a plank clamped in his workbench outside the clubhouse. Right at the end, two planks left, his sander gave up the ghost, and he had to borrow one off Kevin Jones.
